10-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, XENPAK-based\r\nThis module provides an ultra-high-performance 10-Gigabit Ethernet connection with optional XENPAK port for fiber connection.\r\n\r\n10-Gigabit Ethernet is a standards-based method for connecting at performance 10x that of Gigabit Ethernet, and is the perfect aggregation technology when deploying gigabit to the desktop or for interconnecting core and distribution switches.\r\n- Provides a single high-performance 10-Gigabit fiber optic connection between devices for bandwidth-intensive applications.\r\n\r\n- Uses industry-standard XENPAK modular transceivers, sold separately, to provide a flexible physical media connection. View under "Required and Optional Products" to see the list of 3Com XENPAK transceivers qualified for this module.\r\n\r\n- Provides a migration path from multiple aggregated Gigabit Ethernet links to high performance 10-Gigabit Ethernet switch-to-switch connections.\r\n\r\n- Inserts easily into the expansion slot at the back of any model of the Switch 5500G-EI family.\r\n\r\n- Supports IEEE 802.3ae, IEEE 802.3x, IEEE 802.3ad, IEEE 802.1p, IEEE 802.1D, IEEE 802.1Q.
